ORMCA works alongside the The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) to support the continued expansion and improvement of the ready mixed concrete industry through leadership, advocacy, professional development, promotion and partnering. Like ORMCA, the NRMCA offers a variety of educational and training events in both an online format and around the country.
Since 1930, NRMCA has conducted outreach to designers, architects, engineers and contractors to promote the use of concete as both a transportation solution and as a building material of choice. This is primarily done through its Build With Strength, Pave Ahead and Design Center programs.
The American Concrete Institute
Always Advancing
ORMCA partners with the American Concrete Institute (ACI) in offering certification exams for various concrete-related skills and knowledge.
ACI publishes a wide array of journals, magazines, standards, handbooks and manuals intended to support the concrete industry with a continuing flow of education and knowledge. It's ACI Materials Journal and ACI Structural Journal have been published since 1904. Its Concrete International publication is read worldwide.
ACI conducts effective outreach to promote utilization of concrete by directly educating instructors and students in civil engineering, architecture and materials science.
